Midnight is bringing changes to the XP requirements per level, so we’re looking at the new values.
How Long Does It Take to Hit Level 90 in Midnight?
MrGM leveled from 80 to 90 on the Midnight Beta and the whole process took 10 hours and 39 minutes, as you can see in the attached tweet. The leveling was done pretty casually and MrGM completed some side quests at the end of his journey.

On retail, you need 5,614,930 XP to hit level 80.
In Midnight, you will need 3,209,225 XP.
This means the entire 1-80 journey is cut by almost half (42.8%), even though some early levels actually require more XP.

As for the new level cap, the total XP to go from 80-90 in Midnight is 3.7 million.

Closing Thoughts
Midnight reduces the XP requirements from 1-80 by 2.4 million XP (a 43% total reduction). Nearly all nerfs come from the War Within leveling range between 70-79, while the early game gets a small XP bump.
