With Sunna currently introducing players to the Angels of Delusion faction, and the next banner in Zenless Zone Zero featuring Aria as the second member of the group, a lot of players are also hyped for Nangong Yu!
With Aria arriving first, you still have a bit of breathing room before Nangong Yu joins Zenless Zone Zero, but that makes this the ideal time to prepare.
And before you dump all your batteries into random materials, here is what really matters.
Below is the complete material breakdown to take Nangong Yu to level 60, max all of her skills, and fully upgrade her signature W-Engine.
Total Materials to Fully Max Nangong Yu (Level + All Skills)
First, we got an overview of how much you need in total if you want to max out Nangong Yu’s Agent level and all her skills. To completely build her, you will need:
| Material | Amount |
|---|---|
| Basic Ether Chip | 25 |
| Advanced Ether Chip | 75 |
| Specialized Ether Chip | 250 |
| Basic Stun Certification Seal | 4 |
| Advanced Stun Certification Seal | 32 |
| Buster Certification Seal | 30 |
| Unknown Boss | 9 |
| Unknown Boss | 60 |
| Hamster Cage Pass | 5 |
| Senior Investigator Log | 300 |
| Denny | 3,705,000 |
Keep in mind that the boss materials needed for Nangong Yu currently remain unknown. You can try and pre-farm the latest available boss if you want, but chances are new ones will release by the time the Agent comes out.
Nangong Yu Promotion Materials (Level 0-60)
If you only want to promote Nangong Yu to level 60, you will need:
- Basic Stun Certification Seal ×4
- Advanced Stun Certification Seal ×32
- Buster Certification Seal ×30
- Denny ×800,000
This covers ascension only. It does not include skill upgrades. Compared to skill materials, promotion is relatively manageable.
Nangong Yu Skill Materials (All Skills to Max)
If you already have enough materials for her Ascension, but you do not know what you need to max out her skills, here is what you can farm:
| Material | Amount |
|---|---|
| Basic Ether Chip | 25 |
| Advanced Ether Chip | 75 |
| Specialized Ether Chip | 250 |
| Unknown Boss | 9 |
| Unknown Boss | 60 |
| Hamster Cage Pass | 5 |
| Denny | 2,905,000 |
This is where you will need the most resources. Skill upgrades account for nearly 3 million Denny on their own, and you will require specific Boss materials. We will update the table once we know which bosses are needed.
Keep in mind that a full investment makes sense only if you are committing long-term to Angels of Delusion.

Nangong Yu Signature W-Engine Materials (0-60)
If you plan to pull Nangong Yu’s signature W-Engine, you will also need:
- Stun Component ×4
- Reinforced Stun Component ×32
- Specialized Stun Component ×30
- W-Engine Energy Module ×200
- Denny ×400,000
It is a good idea to pre-farm the materials for Nangong Yu’s signature weapon as well, if you plan on getting both the agent and their weapon. This way, you can directly head into battle with them!
Smart Pre-Farm Strategy
If you are unsure about pulling Nangong Yu, you can always focus on farming universal resources first:
- Dennies are always needed
- Farm Senior Investigator Logs
- Secure weekly time-gated materials when possible
- Start farming the Ether Chips
You will always need those, no matter who you pull for, so if you are not sure about Nangong Yu, you can always farm for general materials that you know you will eventually need either way.
The 250 Specialized Ether Chips are the biggest grind. These are safe to farm now and almost guaranteed to remain relevant. Skill materials are usually the longest farm, so starting here gives you the most value.
Planning ahead can definitely be the difference between a day-one max build and weeks of delayed progression, so if you want to go for all the Angels of Delusion, now is the time to pre-farm for Nangong Yu!
