With Crimson Desert launching soon, Pearl Abyss has shared the full performance specifications for PC, console, and Mac, giving us a clear look at what we will need to run the game smoothly.
With the following information, you will be able to figure out if you need a high-end rig or if your old setup can still run the game! This breakdown shows exactly what you will need to play the game at different quality levels.
PC Requirements

Crimson Desert is surprisingly accessible for older PCs. The Minimum setup only requires an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel i5-8500. To hit playable performance, the game will run at 900p upscaled to 1080p, 30 FPS, with graphics settings on minimum.
Recommended and higher-end setups aim for better frame rates and better visuals:
- Low: 1080p, 30 FPS
- Medium / Recommended: 1080p, 60 FPS or 4K, 30 FPS
- High: 1440p, 60 FPS
- Ultra: 4K, 60 FPS
The game also supports DLSS, FSR, and XeSS, so you can play with your settings to balance performance and visuals. Other important details are:
- RAM requirements are modest by today’s standards, only 16 GB recommended
- Storage is the heaviest part, with 150 GB SSD required
- DirectX 12 is mandatory
Other Platforms
For Console versions, you will require compatible displays (120/240 Hz) and HDMI 2.1 cables for high refresh rates or VRR.

For the Rog Xbox Ally, measurements were taken with the power connected and Turbo Mode enabled, so take that into account when you play on the handheld console.

And finally, Mac versions use a preset mode called “For this Mac”. This is a preset that will assign the settings and resolution that provide optimal visual quality and performance on your Mac. Keep in mind that specific settings may vary depending on how powerful your hardware is. macOS 26 “Tahoe” or later is recommended.

Basically, Crimson Desert remains rather accessible. Even smaller PCs can run the game if you are okay with modest settings and upscaling, and on the other side, more powerful setups have plenty of options for 4K and high FPS. SSD storage is the only thing that could really be an issue. You might have to delete a few other games to make room for Crimson Desert, but honestly, that is a small price to pay for getting to play such an amazing game.
