Patch 12.0.5 is bringing back one of World of Warcraft’s most iconic armor sets—again—but this time with a Void-infused twist. The classic Tier 2 sets, first revamped during the 20th anniversary event, are tied directly to one of the patch’s biggest new features.
If you’re wondering how to actually get your hands on them, here’s everything you need to know.

Tier 2, But Make it Void
To unlock the Tier 2 Void recolor sets, you’ll need to take part in the new Void Assaults. These are rotating World Events introduced in Patch 12.0.5, where Void forces attack key locations in Eversong Woods and Zul’Aman.
Completing Void Assaults rewards
Field Accolades, which can be traded with Triam Dawnsetter for set parts. However, there’s a little more to this grind.

How the Grind Works
Unlike previous Tier 2 recolours, the Void recolours aren’t simply bought outright. The set pieces are sold in caches based on armour slot, and can include pieces for any class. This introduces a bit of RNG into the process, so expect some farming if you’re chasing a full set.
Once a certain piece has been added to your appearances, you cannot get that piece from the caches again. So, there’s a little bad luck protection—but collecting specific sets could take time.
The 12.0.5 PTR initially showed these caches as selling for 100
Field Accolades a piece, however recent updates have greatly reduced the cost to 5
Field Accolades and 150
Voidlight Marl.
