Neverness to Everness first 2 banner characters Nanally and Hotori

Time Stop vs Electromagnetism – NTE Launch Banners Fully Revealed

Neverness to Everness is launching on April 29, and the game’s first limited banners have now been fully revealed. Version 1.0 will introduce two S-class characters, Nanally and Hotori, each bringing very different combat styles and mechanics.

At the same time, NTE has a pretty new gacha system, the Scarborough Fair, and on top of that, they also removed the 50/50 mechanic that you can usually find in other gacha games.

First Banner: Nanally (April 29 – May 13)

The first limited banner features Nanally, an S-class character whose combat style revolves around electromagnetic force manipulation and Anima attribute damage.

  • Her ability is tied to electromagnetic force, and her Esper attribute is Anima
  • She has a powerful Redirect Skill, Colucci Howling Technique
  • When activated, she deals DMG and enters the “Itch-daime’s Authority” state. In this state, she can use electromagnetic adhesion to walk freely on any tilted surface, even ceilings
  • Her Ultimate deals Anima AoE DMG and summons the Underboss. When he is on the field, Nanally’s attacks pull in nearby enemies, and the Underboss follows up on all of Nanally’s attacks

Second Banner: Hotori (May 13 – June 3)

Following Nanally, the second limited banner introduces Hotori, an S-class Cosmos attribute character with a kit centered entirely around time manipulation.

  • Her Esper Attribute is Cosmos
  • When her ability activates, she controls the flow of time. This means that she can literally stop time
  • Her time-stop also works during open-world exploration
  • When Hotori joins a fight, a “Non-Closed Timepiece” appears that will build energy over time. When it is full, you can activate her Ultimate, dealing Cosmos DMG and unsheathing her katana. This will make the time around her slow to a near standstill
  • Her katana attacks build Momentum, and once it is maxed out, she triggers a big Cosmos DMG burst that ends the time stop

Scarborough Fair System

Neverness to Everness does not use a traditional character banner system. Instead, summons take place on a board-style system called Scarborough Fair, where you roll dice and move across tiles to claim rewards until you reach a featured character.

The Limited Fair has specific rules:

  • Guaranteed currently featured S-class character within 90 rolls
  • Guaranteed 1 additional 1-class character or 1-class Arc every 10 rolls
  • 70 rolls without an S-class character triggers increased probability
  • The base chance of getting an S-class per roll is 0.99%
  • The pity counter carries over to all future Limited Boards
  • On top of the character, you can also roll for things like a skin, vehicle livery, or a glider skin. After a certain amount of rolls, you can simply redeem the cosmetics directly from the Fair Exchange shop

Importantly, NTE does not include a 50/50 system, meaning players are always working toward a guaranteed featured character. No more losing to standard characters you do not want.

Arc Research Program

Alongside character banners, players also gain access to the Arc Research Program, a separate system focused on S-class Arcs.

  • Guaranteed featured Arc within 8 pulls
  • Guaranteed S-class Arc within 6 pulls
  • Every pull guarantees A-class or higher
  • Uses 10 Tri-Key currency per summon

Both Nanally and Hotori also come with their own signature Arc options, so you will be able to get their Arcs at the same time as you get the characters.

With two very different launch characters and a non-standard gacha structure that removes the classic 50/50 frustration, Neverness to Everness is clearly trying to position itself differently from typical gacha games, and with all the free rewards we get at launch, you can definitely pull for both if you want to!
