Genshin Impact cover for Version Luna VII

Is Genshin Impact’s Luna VII Version Leading Us Back to Sumeru?

Genshin Impact finally has a date for the next livestream! HoYoverse officially confirmed that the Version “Luna VII” Special Program, titled “Song of the Welkin Moon: Andante – Truth Amongst the Pages of Purana”, will go live on Friday, May 8, 2026.

The livestream starts at 08:00 AM (UTC-4) on both Twitch and YouTube, and as usual, it will go over the upcoming content, events, free redemption codes, and the next phase of the story.

Version “Luna VII” May Bring Us Back to Sumeru

HoYoverse has not fully revealed the patch details yet, but the promotional artwork does reveal quite a few interesting things! If you look at it in more detail, the art they showed for the event has a few Sumeru-related characters on it, including:

The fact that Dottore is on it might really mean that the story could start setting up some of the biggest conflicts leading into Snezhnaya, and we also know that this might be one of the last, if not the last, patches of Nod-Krai, so we might go back to Sumeru before we head into the cold land of Snezhnaya.

Upcoming Banners & More

The livestream will also go over all the new upcoming characters:

HoYoverse will officially detail their kits, banners, and more. And of course, like every important Genshin Impact livestream, the Version “Luna VII” one will also include several limited-time redemption codes that reward free Primogems and upgrade materials.

The codes usually expire one or two days after the livestream ends, so you will want to redeem them quickly once they go live.

We will, of course, provide a recap of the livestream soon after, so stay tuned for more exciting things!
