The upcoming content update brings with it two new locations. Each has a World Boss and a whole lot of new rewards. We’ll be finishing the fight started with the Void Assaults and Ritual Sites, as we face off against the leaders of the Void.
12.0.7 brings a new questline taking us through to the World Bosses that have been leading the Void incursions on Azeroth. Each location has a difficulty toggle between Normal and Heroic, with greater rewards on the higher difficulty, obviously.
The frozen world of Val hosts Imperator Pertinax, while Naigtal has Nexus-Captain Leth’ir. They’ll also have World Quests, rares, and events that will grant Field Accolades, which you can spend on the new rewards. Speaking of the rewards, there’s plenty of new transmog and Housing decor to be had. So, let’s dive into the full details below.
Join the Illidari and the Army of the Light as you venture into Val and Naigtal to confront the leaders of the Void.
To begin, speak with Riftblade Maella in Silvermoon City to start a new questline, then travel through the portal in Voidstorm in Howling Reach to your destination. Each area rotates weekly, becoming available for one week at a time.
You’ll progress through a variety of quests, defeat rare enemies, complete World Quests, and confront the world boss in each area behind the invasions in Azeroth.
Choose Your Difficulty for Rewards (and the Challenge)
When first selecting the portal to travel to the destination, you’ll choose to face the challenges within either Normal or Heroic difficulty, providing increased rewards in Heroic.
Earn Field Accolades you can spend on a variety of new rewards from the vendors in the Umbral Base Camp.
Completing the “Showdown on Val” or “Showdown on Naigtal” quests in each area will reward a Riftstalker’s Cache. As with Delves and Prey, players will unlock Great Vault rewards in the World content row.
Riftstalker’s Cache: “Cache containing Field Accolades, Relic Coffer Key shards, materials for upgrading gear, gold, and more.”

The Adventures Continue All Week
Continue to push back against the forces of the Void by participating in World Quests and Events or by taking on rare enemies, overseers, and elites.
Traveling back to the Umbral Base Camp on Naigtal or Val is easy by using the Lightveil Recall Beacon toy you’ll earn early on in the questline.
