Zenless Zone Zero‘s huge Version 3.0 update is almost here, and you can now pre-download the patch ahead of launch. If you pre-download it, it means you can directly access the content once it is live on June 17th.
Season 3 introduces the new Roscaelifer region, the S-Rank agent Pyrois, Velina, and Norma, new story content, and a long list of rewards leading into the game’s anniversary celebrations in 3.1. If you want to jump in as soon as the servers come back online, HoYoverse has already opened pre-downloads on all platforms.
How Big Is the Update?
According to HoYoverse, the pre-download size varies significantly depending on your platform:
- PC: Around 8 GB
- Mobile (iOS and Android): Around 5 GB
- PlayStation 5: Around 28 GB
- Xbox Series X|S: Around 32 GB
So you will have to make sure you have enough free storage space available before the update goes live. Mobile is usually where it can cause issues, but keep in mind that you can head into the game settings in order to delete old content, and that does free a certain amount of space. It will not delete any important part of the game. It basically just removes old story cutscenes and things like that that take place, but that you never replay. And if you do decide to replay an old quest, you can always redownload those in a single click.
When Does Maintenance Start?
Version 3.0 maintenance is scheduled to begin on June 17 at 06:00 (UTC+8). HoYoverse expects the maintenance period to last approximately five hours, during which the game will be unavailable.
As usual, players who have reached Inter-Knot Level 4 before maintenance begins will receive 300 Polychromes. If the maintenance lasts longer, more Polychromes might be distributed! The compensation will be delivered through in-game mail after the update is complete.
With only a few days remaining before Season 3 arrives, now is a good time to download the update files and make sure you are ready for launch day!
