“Objective confirmed; commencing attack.”
Arcane is a new Nature Caster wielding Arts Units coming to Arknights: Endfield in Version 1.4 Homecoming. Her voice actor is Julia Gu.
Her primary scaling stat is Intellect, with her secondary being Will. However, her Skills behave differently depending on how you distribute her stats.
Arcane’s skill setting is Array Arcana: INT when her Intellect is greater than her Will. Meanwhile, the skill setting changes to Array Arcana: WILL when her Will greater than her Intellect.
Skill Overview

Basic Attack: Artillery Interdiction
Arcane can perform up to 5 basic attack sequences, dealing Nature DMG to enemies. When performing a finisher on an enemy, Arcane deals massive Nature DMG and restores some SP.
Battle Skill: Jadecrushing Grid
Creates a Jadecrushing Grid beneath the target, dealing DMG and applying Nature Infliction.
- Array Arcana: INT: Deals more DMG.
- Array Arcana: WILL: When dealing DMG, the array also pulls in enemies within the area of effect.
Combo Skill: Yinglung Stance IV
- Array Arcana: INT: When an enemy either has a stack of Nature Infliction or at least 2 stacks of non-Nature Arts Infliction, slows all actions of the target enemy and applies Nature and Cryo Susceptibility to the target and nearby enemies. While active, Arcane’s battle skill that hits the target enemy also trigger a second instance of massive DMG.
- Array Arcana: WILL: When an Arts Infliction is applied on an enemy, slows all actions of the target enemy, applies another stack of Arts Infliction of the same element to the target and nearby enemies, and applies Nature and Cryo Susceptibility.
Ultimate: Gloompurge
Arcane creates a Gloompurger Array that deals Nature DMG to enemies within the area of effect (AOE). When hitting an enemy within the Gloompurger Array with a Finisher or a Final Strike performed by the controlled operator, the Gloompurger Array launches up to 2 rounds of attacks against that enemy. Afterwards, Arcane’s ultimate switches to Gloompurge Arcana, which deals massive DMG to enemies within a large AOE.
- Array Arcana: INT: When created, the Gloompurger Array forcibly applies Corrosion to enemies within its AOE.
- Array Arcana: WILL: When created, the Gloompurger Array targets enemies with Arts Infliction within its AOE and applies another Arts Infliction stack of the same element to them.

Talents
- Talent 1: Tactical Planning – To Be Announced!
- Talent 2: Weapon Honing – Significantly extends the duration of Corrosion.
Putting It All Together
Array Arcana: INT mode has Arcane focusing more on her battle skill. Lay down heavy fire by using her battle skill to initialize a Nature Infliction stack. This will trigger her combo skill, doing even more damage, applying a Nature Susceptibility, and buffing any more battle skills used within the duration of her combo skill. Use this combo within her Ultimate to take advantage of its Corrosion for even more power!
Whereas Array Arcana: WILL mode has Arcane focusing more on the utility of her combo skill. She helps her team by applying Nature and Cryo Susceptibilities, pulling them into tight groupings, and adding extra Arts Inflictions of any type to them all. Employ her Ultimate alongside this for more Arts Inflictions!
Premiere Weapons

Type 42: Solemn Phalanx will be Arcane’s signature Arts Unit. It features the primary stat of Intellect Boost, Ultimate Gain Efficiency Boost, and Detonate. Those looking to pre-farm this Essence may do so now at: The Hub, Wuling City, and Qingbo Stockade.
The effect of this weapon is as follows:
- ATK increased
- When Intellect is greater than or equal to Will:
When the wielder applies Arts Infliction with their own skill, the wielder gains increased Arts DMG Dealt for a set duration; when the wielder applies Arts Susceptibility with their own skill, the wielder gains increased ATK for a set duration. - When Will is greater than Intellect:
When the wielder applies Arts Burst with their own skill, the target enemy suffers increased Arts DMG Taken for a set duration; when the wielder applies Arts Susceptibility with their own skill, the target enemy suffers increased Arts DMG Taken for a set duration.
Junction Point will be Arcane’s Protocol Pass Arts Unit. It features the primary stat of Intellect Boost, Ultimate Gain Efficiency Boost, and Efficacy. The effect is currently unknown. Those looking to pre-farm this Essence may do so now at: The Hub, Originium Science Park, and Marker Stone.
Both of these weapons are suitable for Array Arcana: INT. Players wanting to build into Array Arcana: WILL will want to look at weapons released in the past.
For example, Opus: Etch Figure was Gilberta’s Protocol Pass Arts Unit. It features the primary stat of Will Boost, Nature DMG Boost, and Suppression. It grants some bonus Attack. The effect grants the entire team an Arts DMG Dealt buff whenever the wielder applies Nature Infliction. That Arts DMG Dealt buff enhances for every enemy suffering Nature Infliction. Those looking to farm this Essence may do so now at: The Hub, Originium Science Park, Origin Lodespring, and Test Area.
It remains to be seen if you should stick with one of her Intellect weapons and let Will/Int Gear tip over into Array Arcana: WILL mode.
Gearing Options
The upcoming AIC Fieldwork gear set also previewed in this update was demonstrated multiple times in usage by Arcane. This set is also the new Arsenal Crate reward for completing her Combat Drill event. Keep an eye on this set when looking to build your own Arcane!

For options that currently exist, in both Int > Will and Will > Int gearing directions, the Hot Work set is available. This set provides a chunky Nature DMG buff when applying Corrosion, which Arcane is always ready to do.
Potential Team Compositions
Arcane in Array Arcana: WILL will most likely be the most popular for now. Array Arcana: INT is much more restrictive in potential team compositions, and is really waiting for future operators to support Arcane rather than Arcane supporting existing operators.

Shatter
A Shatter interaction focused team of Endministrator, Arcane, Tangtang, and Alesh would be pretty powerful. In simulation, you can have Endministrator Shattering their Originium Crystals and Solidification IV in extremely fast order.
Arcane must be in Array Arcana: WILL for this composition to work. This takes advantage of Arcane’s ability to generate additional stacks of existing Inflictions with both her Combo Skill and her Ultimate.
Last Rite Cryo
A Cryo team of Last Rite, Arcane, Fluorite, and Xaihi. This team is focused on quickly yielding 4 stacks of Cryo Infliction to get Last Rite at maximum output immediately.
Once again, you should take advantage of Arcane’s ability to quickly yield Inflictions in Array Arcana: WILL.
Yvonne Hybrid
A Cryo team of Yvonne, Arcane, Tangtang, and Xaihi. This time, you’re using the powers of Arcane on Array Arcana: WILL to instantly jump to Nature Infliction III, after which Yvonne will convert that to Solidification III and absolutely wreck shop.
You can also toggle the focus of this team by having Arcane in Array Arcana: INT. Rather than her helping Yvonne, Yvonne is there to exploit Arcane’s Nature stack build-up. Additionally, Xaihi provides Nature Amp and Cryo Amp for both of these operators.
Laevatain Heat
A Heat team of Laevatain, Arcane, Gilberta, and Camille. This time, Arcane on Array Arcana: WILL takes advantage of her combo skill’s ability to transmit existing Inflictions to surrounding enemies to get multiple Inflictions for Laevatain to absorb with her Talent.
Zhuang Fangyi Electric
An Electric team of Zhuang Fangyi, Arcane, Perlica, and Arclight. Zhuang Fangyi gains extra Ultimate Energy for each stack of Electric Infliction her combo skill consumes. As we’ve seen before, Arcane in Array Arcana: WILL mode can aid in rapidly generating these Electric Inflictions. In the future, you may even want to swap in Liino in place of Arclight.
And More!
Information on Arcane is still developing, so the usefulness of this article ends here.
