The WoW: Forever Beta has drawn in a huge amount of players, and while we’ve all been capped at level 20 since the Beta launched, that changes now.
As of today, Thursday October 1st, players will be able to keep earning experience up to level 30. That means more talents to try out, more zones to explore (and mysteries to solve in those zones), and of course more dungeons to run. One of those dungeons is entirely new in Forever, the Excavation Site: Wetlands dungeon.
Zones to Explore
While most of the zones in the 20-30 level range will be familiar to players, such as Hillsbrad Foothills, Stonetalon Mountains and the Wetlands, there will undoubtedly be many new discoveries to be made. We already know that new quests have been introduced, and if the first 20 levels of the Beta is anything to go by, there will be new items to find, secrets to uncover, and maybe even some puzzles to solve.

While the full experiences of the new Shen’dralas and Riverglades zones might be out of reach at level 30, there is nothing stopping players from going and exploring these zones early. It might be a dangerous journey through Desolace to get to Shen’dralas, but who knows what those ancient elven buildings might be hiding? Learn more about these new zones in our All Zones and Maps guide.
More Talents
With 10 additional talent points, many specializations will find themselves with fun additions to their toolkit. These range from well-known talents that have been moved on the talent tree, like the Feral Druid’s desirable buff Leader of the Pack, to entirely new talents like the Destruction Warlock’s Bane of Havoc or the Protection Paladin’s Templar’s Bulwark.
There is plenty to explore as you make your way down the talent trees, and you can use our Talent Calculator to map out your own path early or check out our Class Guides to see recommended talents at level 30.

New Dungeon
Let’s be honest. Dungeons is some of the best content in WoW. And while it will be fun to see what updates they’ve made to bosses and loot in familiar dungeons like Blackfathom Deeps and Gnomeregan, what we are all truly excited to see are the new dungeons coming in Forever.

Excavation Site: Wetlands is (just like the name implies) located in the Wetlands. From what we’ve seen so far it will be an outdoor dungeon, set in a part of the zone that was previously inaccessible. We also know that it’s recommended for the 24-29 level range. You will find the entrance in the southern parts of the zone, just north of the Dun Algaz passage.

We initially thought that this week would also bring the City of Dalaran dungeon, but as per a post from Josh Greenfield, aka Aggrend, that will come in a future update. While at first a disappointment, it’s encouraging to know that this isn’t the last Beta update we’re getting!
Keep an eye on our Dungeon Guides page as our writers make their way through these new dungeons and gather all the important information in one place!
So much to do, but seemingly quite a lot of time to do it in. Blizzard has previously said that the Beta will only go as far as level 30, so we’ll have plenty of time to explore these new zones and dungeons before the Beta closes on October 22nd. But who knows, perhaps Blizzard will change their minds and give us another 10 levels?
