Hunter, Mage, and Paladin highlights

New Abilities For Hunter, Mage, and Paladin in WoW Forever

Blizzard has released the second part of their series, going over all of the newest Class Abilities in WoW Forever. Their most recent video details all of the changes coming to the Hunter, Mage, and Paladin classes!

Every Hunter specialization will benefit from the new Aimed Shot ability. This new Aimed Shot no longer interferes with the Auto-Shot timer, allowing Hunters to have smoother damage output.

Aimed Shot

Marksmanship Hunter

Marksmanship Hunters will pair Aimed Shot with their Sniper Shot ability, which allows them to continue dealing damage from long range.

Additionally, a new talent called Careful Aim will increase the Hunter’s Attack Power by 100% of their Intellect, and Lone Wolf will allow Hunters to deal an additional 20% damage when they do not have a pet active.

Beast Mastery Hunter

In WoW Forever, Beast Mastery Hunters will have access to a brand new pet species – the Fox!

In addition to increasing the Hunter’s stats, armor in WoW Forever now also increases the stats of the Hunter’s pet as well.

Survival Hunter

Survival Hunters unlock the Strider Kick ability, which is an instant-cast that deals 100% Weapon Damage.

The Expose Prey passive can activate Mongoose Bite without requiring the Hunter to Dodge an attack, and Survival Hunters can now place Traps during combat.

Strider Kick

Frost Mage

Frost Mages gain the Ice Lance ability, giving them an instant-cast spell when Fingers of Frost activates.

Additionally, all Mages gain access to the Frostfire Bolt spell, which benefits from both Fire and Frost passives, allowing for additional hybrid builds.

Ice Lance

Arcane Mage

The Arcane tree is all about exchanging big damage for increased mana costs. Casting Arcane Blast will increase the damage done by all other spells, while also increasing the cost of casting Arcane Blast.

The philosophy behind the Arcane playstyle is to wager mana on high-cost Arcane spells while weaving in lower-cost Fire and Frost spells.

Arcane Blast

Fire Mage

Critical Strikes with Fire spells now grant the player Hot Streak, which grants a stacking buff to reduce the cast time of Pyroblast.

Fire Mages will benefit the most from the hybrid damage and control style of specializing into Frostfire Bolt.

Protection Paladin

In WoW Forever, Protection Paladins can use Seal of Fury to deal additional damage, gain an absorb shield, and taunt the enemy.

Additionally, Consecration is now a baseline ability for all Paladins, dealing damage to the first 4 enemies who enter melee range. Finally, Protection Paladins will also gain a cooldown called Templar’s Bulwark, which will grant them an absorb shield equal to 100% of their maximum health for 8 seconds.

Seal of Fury

Holy Paladin

Light’s Vigil allows Paladins to reduce the cooldown of their Holy Shock ability, healing every member in the target’s party or dealing AoE damage.

Additionally, all Paladin Blessings and Greater Blessings last for an hour, rather than the previous 5 minutes.

Light's Vigil

Retribution Paladin

Twist of Light allows Retribution Paladins to “Seal Twist”, giving their next melee swing the benefits of up to two Seals at once.

Holy Strike also gives Ret Paladins another new instant-cast ability to deal big damage.

Next, Blizzard will preview new abilities coming to Priest, Warlock, and Druid, so stay tuned!
