WoW Forever’s beta has given players plenty of content to test, but some of the latest discoveries are less about balance and more about figuring out why their characters suddenly look like they’re falling asleep while running.
Players have recently uncovered several issues affecting the game’s standard definition (SD) character models, with Undead and Orc characters being the next in line to show some odd, yet funny behaviour.
Undead Players Spot a Strange Eye-Glow Bug
One of the more noticeable examples involves the female Undead model, which currently has an issue with its eye glow. When players move the camera around the character, the glow can shift into an unusual position around the face, with the effect becoming visible in the character portrait as well. The male Undead model previously suffered from a similar problem, but Blizzard has since fixed it.
Proof That Orcs Really Need a Nap
Female Orcs, meanwhile, have discovered the secret to staying relaxed during their questing and adventures. The same player who reported the previous issue also noticed that the SD model closes their eyes while running, creating the silly impression that the character is sleepwalking their way across Durotar!
The Reddit discussions around both bugs have also highlighted how many of these visual problems appear to be concentrated around faces, eyes and animations. Players have also pointed out other oddities, including weapons on female Undead characters changing size when they stop moving.
Blizzard is still actively fixing visual problems throughout the beta, so these issues wont stick around for long. The October 1st beta update already addressed several graphical and visual problems, including weapon sizing, while the official known-issues list continues to receive updates.
WoW Forever players should keep an eye on their characters in the meantime, and if you notice any visual bugs, then remember to report them. Your Orc may be running across Durotar, but there’s a chance she’s mentally already tucked into bed. Honk shoo mimimi…
