WoW Forever Hunters Want More Room for Their Growing Pet Collections

Hunters have plenty of reasons to explore Azeroth in search of new pets, but some players feel their stables aren’t keeping up with the choices available in WoW Forever. There are more interesting pet abilities to experiment with and rare beasts to track down, but the current storage limit is becoming a sticking point for the class. This problem was brought up first during beta, where many hunter players echoed that earning new stable slots would be a great addition to their gameplay.

The discussion picked up again following launch. In a recent EU forum thread, a player asked Blizzard to look into expanding the stable before players get too far into levelling. They pointed out that more stable space had previously been discussed, but Hunters were still limited to three slots.

It’s a frustration shared by other players. Not everyone agrees that more space is necessary, but for many pet collectors, the current limit can make it difficult to hold on to companions they’ve spent time finding and taming.

Room for More Companions? Blizzard Has a Plan

WoW Forever has introduced more pet families and specialised abilities, giving players extra reasons to swap companions depending on what they’re doing. A pet that works well for solo levelling might not be the best choice for a dungeon group or raiding. Keeping a few different options available would make experimenting with these abilities much easier.

During an earlier developer podcast, Blizzard said it was planning to increase the number of stable slots, and giving players ways to unlock more. No specific number or release date was announced though, leaving players waiting to see how that promise will take shape!

Blizzard introducing additional slots through gold purchases, class quests or another progression system are all options that may be implemented. Regardless, it seems many players would like another stable slot or two, rather than saying goodbye to an old companion.
