Final War Within Pre-Patch Raid DPS Log Rankings: Warriors and Rogues!

A big tuning pass arrived last reset and has shaken things up considerably. The big winners seem to be Assassination, Marksmanship, and especially Enhancement, as Unholy and a few other specs bite the dust! Luckily for them, this is very much temporary, as the expansion Early Access and launch loom ahead this and next week.

Note: We are using Normalized scores instead of raw DPS for the Warcraft Logs rankings. Normalized scores take into account the outlier boss fights where certain specs could stack massive DPS (due to the nature of the fight, whether it’s AoE spam or something else), which would then affect their overall score for the whole raid.

It’s time for the Warriors to rise up! Well, remain risen, at least. The most recent tuning pass has propelled Fury into the very top spot after Arms’ and Beast Mastery’s nerfs, although both brown specs are neck-and-neck. Assassination almost gained the most out of the patch, moving 4 spots up into 4th, taking Elemental’s spot, as the Shaman drops into 7th. Feral Grabs the slot between the newly dropped Shaman and stable Paladin, as Marksmanship rises 5 spots into 8th.

And then we get to the ACTUAL winner of the tuning, as Enhancement makes a colossal leap from 22nd into 10th, gaining an insane 12 spots! The biggest loser was definitely Unholy, as it finds itself down in the bottom 3, taking the almost exact opposite journey than that of Enhancement. The DK loses 14 spots and joins Fire and Demonology, who were both down there before the changes as well.

Arms is still at the top in the generalist bracket, as the overall chart is usually slower to move. Assassination makes an even bigger move up, grabbing 2nd and climbing 5 spots, while Beast Mastery only loses 1 position here. Elemental is down three, making room for Ret and Feral, while Marksmanship gains a big 7 spots in 8th. Subtlety only drops a little, coming out ahead of Frost DK, which loses a bit more, 4 spots down. But it’s definitely the DK that’s “won” the tuning, as Unholy isn’t quite in the bottom 3 here, but still lost a giant amount of spots.

Boss Only Damage All Percentiles

Arms remains on top of the single-target chart, while Assassination bursts in and almost takes the crown from the Warrior with its 7-spot leap. BM is holding in there, as Elemental falls, and the other really big shift is Affliction coming into the top 10, all the way down from the bottom.

Heroic

Overall Damage All Percentiles

Arms actually improves after its nerf in the tuning pass, as Beast Mastery is hit harder by the bat, and Assassination rises just like in all the other charts. Feral climbs a few spots up as well, and Affliction makes an appearance in the top 10, with Windwalker and Devastation also on the rise.

U.GG Raw Mythic DPS Rankings

U.gg’s rankings are based on actual DPS taken from Warcraft Logs data, focusing on the top players and span the past two weeks. This chart is for Mythic only.

We have a bit less movement in the raw DPS rankings, as they are averaged over two weeks. BM is still at the top but has lost a lot of damage, while Fury overtakes Arms and Assassination busts up 3 spots. Frost DK doesn’t drop quite as far down as in the above charts, while Elemental does, with Marksmanship making an appearance at the end of the top 10.

Mythic Aberrus

Arms remains on top in the Aberrus overall chart, while Assassination grabs a breezy 5 spots to land in the silver slot. Feral is also doing a lot better, climbing 3 into 4th, as the Hunters congregate right under it, BM losing a few spots and MM gaining a bunch. Fury drops quite a few, unlike in Amirdrassil, finding itself 4 spots down in 7th, just ahead of also-flailing Elemental.

Mythic Vault of the Incarnates

The top two are the same as in the other two raids, with Assassination being the newcomer, but Fury is holding on much better in Vault, actually gaining a spot! Marksmanship turns in its bet performance out of all three raids, as is customary in Vault, landing in 4th and becoming the top Hunter, as Feral also rises. Enhancement makes it into the top 10 here as well, just ahead of a surging Devastation, as both specs gain a whole lot of spots.
