Guilds in Ashes of Creation offer some cool perks, but lately, it seems that a lot of players have been feeling pretty frustrated with how tough it is to level them up, especially if you are in a smaller guild.
Right now, guilds earn experience by doing things like transporting commodities, participating in node events, and completing guild quests. In general, this sounds simple enough, right? But here is the problem: a lot of players are saying the progress feels painfully slow and way too resource-heavy. One guild even mentioned that after running multiple transport missions, their XP bar barely moved. At this rate, leveling up a guild could take months of grinding, which has left many wondering if the system is just a bit too punishing.

What Are Players Suggesting?
The community has come up with a few ideas on how to fix things and make guild leveling feel a bit more balanced. These are the most common suggestions:
- Reduce Costs: Lower the Glint cost for guild commodities so it does not feel like you are bleeding resources just to make tiny progress.
- Increase XP Gains: Boost the experience rewards from guild activities to make the grind less intense.
- Add More Ways to Level: Introduce other activities that contribute to guild XP, like treasure hunts or even regular in-game stuff that would still count toward guild progression.
What’s Next for Guilds?
It is clear that guild leveling needs some adjustments to make it fair and fun for everyone, not just the biggest guilds out there. With a few changes, the system could feel a lot more rewarding and less like an endless grind. But for now, if you are in a smaller guild, do not be surprised if leveling feels like an uphill battle. Hopefully, Intrepid Studios is listening and will roll out some changes soon!
