A new leak from the Genshin Impact community brings information about the characters releasing in patch 5.5. This leak for patch 5.5 of Genshin Impact comes from well-known reliable leaker UTeyvat which immediately caught the attention of fans.
This leak states that in patch 5.5 of Genshin Impact the newest characters are going to be Varesa and Iansan. With Varesa being a 5-Star and Iansan being a 4-Star
This immediately sparked a lot of controversy as a result of Iansan being a 4-Star with some believing it cannot be true. Iansan was an important character in the Archon Quest and a literal hero of Natlan, whos potentially been relegated to a 4-Star kit. Additionally, this also makes for a second Electro 4-Star hero of Natlan alongside Ororon which is causing frustration amongst the community.
Who Is Varesa?
Varesa is presumed to be the girl with horns from the official silhouette showcased by MiYhoyo in a past livestream. While other characters such as Iansan, Skirk and Mizuki are known from their designs.
Varesa is also a competitive eater from the Collective of Plenty, the final tribe to be released in Natlan. Mavuika is the only character with a voice line about Varesa:
“During the Pilgrimage, I cover all the expenses at the Weary Inn, and without fail, there’s always an order for a party tray for eighty. I used to assume it was someone ordering for a large group of friends, but as it turns out… Varesa ordered it all for herself.”
Is This Leak for Patch 5.5 Credible?
While UTeyvat has a history of reliable leaks, it’s always important to take early information with a grain of salt. Until HoYoverse officially announces the characters for Version 5.5, this remains unconfirmed information.
