Recent leaks from the Genshin Impact 5.5 beta have revealed new information and content: The upcoming character Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm user, features a buff mechanic, and we finally know how it will be visually indicated! Additionally, the beta introduces the Tatankasaur, a new saurian associated with the Collective of Plenty tribe.
Iansan’s Buff Indicator Mechanism
Iansan’s leaked ability kit positions her as a versatile support character. She is a very flexible buffer, similar to Bennett, but with the Electro element and without the floor circle, making her a great addition to many teams! Her Elemental Burst enables a powerful attack that not only deals damage but also provides an Attack (ATK) buff. This buff is visually represented by a unique indicator, allowing you to monitor when it is active or not:

When you have 42 or more Nightsoul Points, an icon showing Iansan’s face will appear next to the character. When you are under 42 Nightsoul Points, it will only show a Saurian skull. This will let you take advantage of the burst window with Iansan, and you will be able to make sure you do not miss out on it.
Tatankasaur and the Collective of Plenty Tribe
The Collective of Plenty’s saurian has also been revealed! Have a look at the unique Tatankasaur and what they can do:
The Collective of Plenty tribe, one of the six in Natlan, is known for its bodybuilding competitions and strength contests. Located near the volcano, the tribe benefits from fertile soil, producing some of the best fruits and vegetables in the region.
The Tatankasaur is expected to represent the tribe’s focus on physical power, potentially offering new challenges. According to this leak, it seems it has the ability to ground stomp as well as charge directly in front of them. We can guess some open-world mechanic where we will have to smash head first into walls in order to open secret passages or reveal important items.
