Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3. The original game was first released in 2004 and often ranked among the best stealth games ever made. Konami is bringing the Cold War-era story of Naked Snake to modern platforms with overhauled visuals, refined controls, and the same tactical espionage action that defined the original.
The remake launches on August 28, 2025, but that will not be the only way to play. Konami has also confirmed an all-new online multiplayer mode called Fox Hunt, which will arrive later in Fall 2025.
What Is Fox Hunt?
Fox Hunt is a hide-and-seek style mode made just for MGS Delta. It builds on the camouflage and survival systems from the main game, and it focuses on staying hidden while waiting for the right moment to strike.
The mode takes inspiration from the classic Sneaking rule in Metal Gear Online, a fan-favorite, and it brings that same stealth-focused gameplay into the remake with a fresh visual upgrade.
