2025 already welcomed a lot of new and amazing gaming projects, such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Split Fiction, and more! April seems to be the month for The Last of Us Franchise!
The Last of Us Part Two Remastered for PC
On April 3rd, 2025, players will be able to enjoy the remastered version of the Last of Us Part Two on PC! The game will be available on Steam and Epic Games Store for 49,99$ and 49,99€.
The Remastered version comes with new graphical improvements, but also with a few new modes and additional features:
- PC Optimized graphics
- Including support for Intel XeSS, NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3.1, and AMD FSR 4.0 with upscaling and frame generation.
- Widescreen, Ultrawide, and Super Ultrawide support.
- HDR support.
- PC Display and Graphics Menu for scalability.
- DirectStorage support.
- Full gamepad and Mouse and Keyboard mapping
- You can adjust your controls to fit your preferred playstyle for a better experience.
- PlayStation overlay and Trophy support
- If you have a Playstation Network account, you will have access to the PlayStation overlay for Windows PC. This lets you earn PlayStation Trophies and access Friends lists, settings, and player profiles even if you play on PC.
- New Mode: No Return – A Roguelike Survival Mode
- You will experience a brand-new game, where you have to survive as long as you can in each run, as you choose your path through a series of randomized encounters. You can play various unlockable characters, each with unique gameplay skills. You will fight your way through memorable zones or enemies from the main game, with a boss battle waiting for you at the end.
- Two new unlockable No Return characters are included.
- Four new unlockable maps to challenge.

The Last of Us Upcoming Season Two
In addition to Part Two releasing on PC, April also welcomes Part Two for The Last of Us Series! Season two will start on April 13, 2025 on HBO with a total of seven episodes. The final Episode should air on May 25, 2025. The last reports about the season indicate that it only covers a small portion of the Last of Us Part Two, with the rest coming for Season 3 later on.
The series will also introduce new original characters, so be prepared for a few surprises!
What About The Last of Us Part Three?
While a lot of fans of the franchise would love to see Part Three being announced soon, it does not seem to be a current project.
Recent interviews with Neil Druckmann have revealed that he is not currently planning on making any part three for the game, or at least not for a few years.
Naughty Dog is focused on their next game titled Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, which looks as promising as The Last of Us, so stay tuned for that!
