A Full Game Hotfix
Embark Studios quickly stepped in with a statement confirming that this kind of stress is exactly what the test is meant to reveal. The developer also reassured players that the Steam rollout is ongoing, with “hundreds being admitted every minute.”
A hotfix was released shortly after launch to address several crashes and error messages. This patch requires a full game redownload, but Embark clarified it “should be the last hotfix of its kind.” So if you are still having connection issues, you might want to uninstall and redownload the playtest version!
Players are also reminded to look specifically for the “ARC Raiders – Playtest” version on Steam. Some have reported smoother access via the Epic Games Store, so if you are still having trouble connecting, that is another option worth trying.
