Battlefield 6 is back with Season 3, and with it comes an updated rework of Grand Bazaar, new weapons, Battle Pass, new Operation, & Ranked Battle Royal mode. All of this and more dropped today, but here are some highlights.
Battlefield 6 Season 3
Firstly, there are two new maps coming with Season 3: a remake of the Grand Bazaar, now known as Cairo Bazaar, and a brand-new map featuring the Railway to Golmud. Both maps, Cairo Bazaar, are close-quarters maps with lots of heavy infantry backed by some armored vehicles. Whereas the Railway to Golmud is a full-on warfare map with a massive active railway running through it.
As for brand new weapons, players are getting:
- M16A4 – New Assault Rifle
- L115 – New Sniper Rifle
- RPK-74M – New LMG
New Ranked Battle Royal Mode
After REDSEC was dropped in Season 1, players have had mixed takes on whether this was an interesting take on the battle royal trend with other popular FPS games. But with Season 3, REDSEC is finally getting a ranked mode, which could potentially reignite the game mode’s overall interest, or potentially draw back in those hardcore battle royal players.
Battlefield 6 Season 3 Roadmap
That’s not all, for Battlefield 6 Season 6. In the coming months, players will be getting two brand new modes, Obliteration & Tactical Obliteration, two limited-time events, and a few new weapons and gadgets.
However, one thing that stands out on the roadmap is that Dice is adding the Ranked version of Battle Royale before the casual version hits. Not only is this an odd choice, but it could also drive the dwindling casual audience even further away, which has been a problem since Season 2.

New Battle Pass

With each season comes a new Battle Pass. Battlefield 6 has had a long back-and-forth war against its cosmetics, with the majority of its fanbase wanting more traditional, realistic looks. This has been a problem since launch, but from Season 3, they might have finally satisfied the community’s desire for down-to-earth skins.
But what do you think? Is this enough content to get you to return to Battlefield 6? Or are the active problems from the past still preventing you from suiting up?
