New World: Aeternum players are getting flooded with shocking news lately, with the latest being the surprise launch of an all-new weapon into the game: Dual Daggers.
That’s right – even though the game announced that it will be closing its doors in 2026, they still went ahead and dropped in one of the most anticipated weapons that was coming to the game. Players are starting to jump back in just for a little bit to experience not only this new weapon, but also New World: Aeternum one last time.
Daggers Skill Tree
The mastery trees for Daggers are split into two categories: Blades and Stealth. The Blades tree focuses on applying aggressive pressure to targets via mobility, and rapid and precise attacks. The Stealth tree focuses on sneak attacks and making it difficult for your target to escape.

How to Unlock Daggers in New World: Aeternum
There are a few ways to get Daggers in New World, but the two ways below tend to be the easiest and fastest ways to obtain them.
1.) Reekwater: There is an all-new MSQ in Reekwater, where a new NPC (Wiltrud Bucheholz) will provide you with a handful of quests that reward you with a new currency known as “Soulmarks”. Players can exchange Soulmarks for a handful of unique rewards, including a Dagger Cache that will provide you with a 750 GS set of Daggers with randomized perks.
This exchange happens at a new building known as the “Soulwarden Armory”, which is located in Reekwater next to this NPC.
2.) Well of Fortune: There are new items added within the Well of Fortune in Cutlass Keys, including a new cache that will provide you with a set of Daggers. Similar to the first method, this method will provide you with a set of Daggers with randomized perks, but will cost you Mystic Doubloons and Goldcursed Coconuts instead!
