What Is Included in Edge of Fate?
Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate continues the story into Year 8 with new systems, locations, and gear. Here is a quick overview of confirmed features:
- A new campaign based around the Nine and the Kepler destination
- UI and movement improvements
- Armor 3.0 and full weapon tier rework
- New exotics and sandbox tuning
- New raid (The Desert Perpetual), releasing July 19
Where the Story Left Off
Edge of Fate picks up right after the events of The Final Shape. With the Witness defeated and the Traveler no longer silent, the universe is starting to change. The Guardians are now facing a strange new frontier tied to the Nine, which are mysterious cosmic beings that have been pulling strings behind the scenes for years.

Tensions are rising between Light and Dark forces still lingering after the battle, and the new expansion is expected to explore what comes next for the Vanguard and the delicate balance left in the aftermath of the war.
Quick Checklist Before Launch
- Preload early if your platform supports it
- Clear extra space to avoid install issues
