With seasons launching a week later, the base patch of a new season can be a little lacking in worthwhile content. However, Blizzard are shaking things up in 11.2 and Season 3, with more content granting relevant item level gear!

The main issue with the non-season starting week of a new content patch is, well, no new seasonal content. That means no new item levels and no new ways to improve your gear. With patch 11.2, that will change, as Wowhead found out in a developer interview.
The new World Boss, Heroic and Mythic0 dungeons, as well as non-Bountiful Delves, will be available at 11.2’s launch! This will offer something to do for many players, even those that maxed out their gear in Season 2.
Champion Track
The Mythic0 dungeons and non-Nountiful Delves will drop Season 3 Champion track gear (starting at item level 681). This makes it very much worthwhile content for everyone, as the current maximum item level is 684! The new dungeon will also be available at launch.
