Every Big Game Delay Right Now and What’s Still Coming in 2025

It has been a rough week for release calendars. Two big games were delayed just yesterday, including GTA 6, and they are far from alone. Several other highly anticipated titles have also recently been pushed back, either by months or with no new date in sight at all.

Recent Video Game Delays

Here is a quick look at what has changed lately on the video game release calendar, as reported on Twitter/X by GermanStrands:

  • GTA VI – now launching November 19, 2026
  • Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra – delayed beyond early 2026
  • Terminator 2D: No Fate – now coming December 12, 2025
  • Unbeatable – December 9, 2025
  • Witchbrook – shifted to 2026
  • Kingmakers – delayed indefinitely
  • The Sinking City 2 – targeting the first half of 2026
  • Mina the Hollower – postponed a few months / TBD
  • Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition – expected sometime in 2026

Keep in mind that these are not the complete list of upcoming games, and simply the most recent delays!

Of course, delays are never fun to hear, but most studios say the extra time is to “polish gameplay and ensure quality”, and that is something players tend to appreciate once the final version lands.

So, if your 2025 gaming schedule suddenly looks lighter, do not worry! 2026 might just end up being absolutely full of incredible games as well.
