Battlefield 6 Open Beta is currently ongoing, and many players are experiencing sudden crashes on PC. The game crossed over 300,000 players on its very first day of Open Beta, and its popularity continues to grow, only to be hindered by constant crashes.
While some performance issues are expected in the Open Beta version of the game, there are a few things that you can try to reduce the chances of crashes in Battlefield 6.
How To Fix Crashes In Battlefield 6
First and foremost, make sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date. Depending on your GPU, you’ll have to look up if there are any updates for your graphics driver available from the software. If there are, be sure to download them before you try anything else, because old graphics drivers are mostly the first reason behind unexpected crashes.
If the crashes persist after you’ve updated your graphics driver, follow these steps:
- Launch the game.
- Head to the Game Settings.
- Head over to the Graphics tab.
- Scroll down until you find a setting titled “Screen Space AO & GI.”
- Disable this setting and restart the game.
If you’re experiencing crashes during the splash screen, make sure you try to repair the game files. That will likely resolve the issue, but if the crashes continue, a clean re-install might be necessary.
Intel GPU users might also experience sudden crashes during gameplay. To resolve it, you should head over to the Graphics settings and switch the Window mode from Borderless to Windowed or Full-screen mode.
The developers will likely fix most of these issues by the game’s official release in October. However, for now, we’ll have to keep looking for a workaround for these crashes.
