Warriors of Light, we finally have the Evercold release date! During Tokyo Fan Fest, game producer and director Naoki Yoshida (Yoshi-P) revealed that Evercold will drop on February 23rd, 2027! Preorders will open on November 4th, while early access will begin on February 19th. 📆
The Evercold release date was pushed back from its originally planned window in January 2027, but at least we now have a specific day to look forward to. Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold will be available for PC, Mac, Steam, PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Evercold will usher in the Godless Realms Saga, the game’s next chapter. Before then, however, you’ll have to decide which edition of the expansion you want.
FFXIV Evercold Physical Collector’s Box
As usual, we’ll have a choice from several different editions of the next expansion. In addition to the Standard Edition ($44.99), which includes only the base game with Evercold, we’ll have the physical Collector’s Box ($255) and Digital Collector’s Edition ($64.99). The physical Collector’s Box will include the following physical merchandise:
- Warrior of Light Reaper statue
- Premium Collector’s Box featuring artwork by legendary Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano
- Tapestry showcasing the landscape of the Fourth
- Ethos metal keychain
- Köttr plush
FFXIV Evercold Digital Collector’s Edition
When you order the Digital Collector’s Edition, you’ll receive the following in-game treats:
- Valhallar Odin mount
- Entreat Crystal emote
- Crystal Skyltborg weapon glam
As we reported in July, the Evercold Collector’s Bundle ($319.99) combines the physical Collector’s Box with the Digital Collector’s Edition of Evercold. You can buy each edition separately, in case you want only the physical or only the digital items.
It’s a little disappointing that the Evercold release date was pushed back to February. Yoshi-P, however, said that it was a decision he made to give us the best possible experience. Regardless, we’re still excited about learning more about Evercold over the next couple of days.
