A new Genshin Impact 5.5 leak has revealed the upcoming Imaginarium Theater stages for May 2025, giving us an early look at the new challenges. Here is what we know so far about the Imaginarium Theater’s Elements, Characters, and Bosses in the next version!
What is the Imaginarium Theater?
The Imaginarium Theater is an Endgame challenge mode in Genshin Impact that offers you a chance to test your skills against waves of enemies while earning valuable rewards. Unlike Spiral Abyss, this mode brings unique mechanics, enemy variations, and a fresh rotation of challenges each update. It also forces you to invest in more Characters, as it requires you to use specific Elements with each reset.
The Theater is Located in the Mondstadt Library, and you can find the concierge, Wolfy. If you do not have access to the Theater yet, you may need to reach Adventure Rank 35 first, and complete the World Quest called: Unbegun, Unending Story. This quest can be started by heading to Mondstadt, inside the Knights of Favonius Library.
In order to participate, you have to be able to provide a certain amount of characters from specific Elements. Every stage requires at least 4 characters. Each of them will have two points of Energy, meaning you can use each character in a fight two times only.

According to a recent Reddit leak, the next Imaginarium Theater will have the following changes:

- Nightsoul Trial

According to this leak, the Imaginarium Theater 5.5 rotation will include the “Nightsoul Trials”. This is a mechanic you can find in Natlan’s open world, however, these trials usually appear as totems or altars that you interact with to trigger a hard boss fight. It is unclear how this will work inside the Imaginarium Theater, but it will most likely be one or multiple of those Nightsoul Bosses.
