The official Special Program for Genshin Impact’s upcoming Version Luna V is happening right now! The livestream features a major story update for Mondstadt, the official previews of the new upcoming characters, events, and much more.

Song of the Welkin Moon: Variation
The stream kicks off with the usual trailer for the next version, and you can watch it here:
It is time to go back to the first and best city, Mondstadt, and join Venti, Jean, and the others for some new adventures! However, things might not be so simple. Grand Master Varka is finally back in Mondstadt, where everything started.
Varka, Knight of Boreas, might be hiding a few secrets. Will we finally find out why he left for Nod-Krai in the first place? You will have to dig into Varka’s past and uncover what is left. His relationship with the Hexenzirkel is far from being simple.
Varka has been looking for the Knights of Boreas and the Wolf packs of the North. What will he uncover? At the same time, the Wild Hunt appears in Mondstadt, threatening the Wolf of the North of Mondstadt’s Four Winds.
Complete the story quest to obtain Primogems and leveling materials for Varka.
New and Returning Characters
The following characters will be featured during Phase I and Phase II of Version Luna V!
Phase 1
- Varka – 5-Star Anemo Claymore character
- Dual Wielding two Claymores
- Can inflict two types of elemental damage at the same time
- Razor and Varka share a lot of similar moves because Varka took Razor under his wing
- The weapon in his left hand is consistently dealing Anemo DMG, but the other weapon deals the elemental DMG depending on his party members
- Elemental Skill: Allows dealing more DMG, and dealing DMG during that time reduces the Elemental skill’s cooldown
- If other party members swirl, he can also deal more DMG
- The Elemental DMG of his burst changes depending on the Elemental DMG of his party members
- He works with Hexerei characters
- Flins returns alongside Varka as well
- Chronicled Wishes for Mondstadt Characters comes back
Phase 2
Redemption Codes
The following codes have been shared during the stream! They can be redeemed right now and are valid until February 15, 2025:

- VisitWonderland
All the codes reward 100 Primogems and some materials. Once you have redeemed the redemption codes, the rewards will be sent to your in-game mailbox.
Events & Gameplay Updates
During version Luna V, you can expect the following events, gameplay changes, adjustments, and other additions!
- Wolf Spirits Fragments Varka Special Quests
- Varka will have special interactions with the Local Legends in the open world.
- For example, there is a Shadow of a Sword near the Local Legends “The Homesick Lone Wolf,” and if Varka interacts with it, he will be transported to a mysterious space. In there, he will have to face another Wolf Spirit Fragment left behind by the God Andreas.
- This is a challenge Varka has to face alone.
- Completing the challenge comes with a special reward: A unique weapon skin for Varka! This skin will affect the appearance of both weapons in his hand.
- A new Boss will be available in Nod-Krai – Radiant Moongecko
- Grant materials for Varka
- Howeward, He Who Caught the Wind
- New Event
- Rewards with a weapon appearance for Catalysts, “Phatasmal Gift: Star Omen”
- Event hosted by the Knights of Favonius with a lot of activities
- Among the mini-games are a drink stand, a photo event, a gliding challenge, and more
- Sightseeing With Friends
- Go back to Sumera and reunite with some other old friends, including Bongo Head! Take your Fungal friends through Teyvat for some sightseeing.
- Operation Stronghold Defense
- Join Aino and help her test her automated defense system
- New Traveler’s Tales Companions anecdotes
- New Music added to the Repertoire of Myriad Melodies
- New Nod-krai Realm and items for the Serenitea Pot
- New additions to the TCG
- Overflowing Abundance is returning as well, so get your double drops from dungeons!
Miliastra Wonderland Updates
The UGC content Miliastra Wonderland is also getting some well-deserved updates:
- New outfits and a new lobby design are coming with Luna V
- New Event to obtain a free cosmetic
- Voice feature will officially launch
- Allows you to communicate with others via voice chat
- Unlocks new gameplay modes that involve the voice feature
