Neverness to Everness is almost here, and rerolling is already on a lot of players’ minds. It is a bit of a habit in gacha games to reroll, use your early pulls, and hope for a better account to start with, but NTE is slightly different compared to most games, and this changes the answer more than you might expect.
The game really gives you a good amount of pulls for launch. If you want to know exactly how many, you can check out our launch rewards recap. There are many pre-registration rewards, launch bonuses, and redeem codes, so you are looking at around 40 to 50 pulls if you collect everything properly. On paper, that is enough to make rerolling feel tempting, especially with a featured character like Nanally available right from the start.
It Still Takes Time
The problem is the time investment. You cannot just reroll right after logging in because it takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes to reach the point where the gacha unlocks, even if you skip most stuff.
And unlike some other games, you will not get anywhere near pity during those early pulls. With S-Rank rates that are under 1%, you are relying almost entirely on luck for each attempt.

So Should You Reroll or Not?
That is where the decision becomes pretty simple. If you are the kind of player who enjoys optimizing everything and does not mind repeating the start of the game a few times, rerolling can absolutely help you obtain a perfect account right from the get-go. If you get Nanally early and on top of that, a few good standard pulls, you will be really comfortable for a while.
On the other hand, if you just want to chill and play, you are not really missing out. NTE already hands out multiple free characters that can carry you through the story and start of the game, and you should obtain enough free resources to be able to afford the first 2 banner characters, even if you are not that lucky, so rerolling is not required to have a good experience. For most players, the time spent restarting might not be worth it.
There are also a few different ways to reroll depending on how you approach it, but those details can get a bit technical. If you are planning to go all-in and want to do it properly, we have a step-by-step guide for you:
