Last SIMS 4 Patch Causes Mass Pregnancies – No One Is Safe

Life finds a way, even when it really, really should not. The latest Sims 4 patch, released alongside the new Enchanted by Nature expansion, has introduced one of the most absurd (and hilarious) bugs in the game’s history: everyone is suddenly pregnant. Literally. Everyone.

Players across the community are reporting that their Sims, including men, kids, and those who have never so much as held hands, are now mysteriously with child. The pregnancy flag seems to be randomly applied across households, and it is turning gameplay into a bizarre, baby nightmare.

Who Needs Social Interactions!

The most confusing part? These virtual pregnancies do not seem to stem from any actual in-game interactions. Sims who have never interacted with others are still somehow marked as pregnant. And once they are, the game pretty much locks them down:

  • They can’t age or blow out birthday candles.
  • They can’t actually do what makes you get pregnant anymore.
  • They can’t even take a pregnancy test.
  • And worst of all? The pregnancy never actually progresses.

Even Vampires Are Affected… and They are Starving

Over on GamesRadar, journalist Anna Koselke talked about how this is even affecting vampires! Because, as it turns out, pregnant Sims can not be fed on. So now, entire towns are full of glowing, unreadable, untouchable Sims, and the poor vampires are left to starve.

Oh, and yes, The Grim Reaper might be involved too. One user noted that in their save file, the Reaper had seemingly developed a reputation for being… well, quite the charmer. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he wound up with several baby mamas,” one player joked.

EA Is Aware

EA has acknowledged the issue and is “actively investigating issues related to Sim pregnancy, including missing pregnancy tests, baby bumps, & interactions.” However, there’s no timeline for a fix yet, and with no babies on the way, this bug is more like a curse.

The expansion’s magical theme was supposed to let players have fun with the forces of nature. But this is definitely a unique way to do so.

Until a patch drops, players can only hope for a miracle cure, or maybe a modded version of magical baby removal. In the meantime, welcome to The Sims 4: Immaculate Misconceptions.
