Marvel Rivals is changing up its seasonal structure. In a recent dev talk, the team revealed plans to shorten future seasons and deliver new heroes more frequently. This would give fans more reasons to jump in regularly.
Until now, seasons in Marvel Rivals have followed a three-month format, split into two halves. Season 1, Eternal Night Falls, began on January 10 and will wrap up on April 11, 2025. Each half lasted about six to seven weeks, with big content drops, including new heroes, maps, and cosmetics.
But starting with Season 3 in early July, that is about to change. The team plans to move to a two-month season cycle, introducing one new hero at the start of each season and another at the mid-season point. That means players can expect a new hero every month, doubling the pace of updates compared to games like Overwatch 2, which typically adds new characters every six months.

Season 2: Hellfire Gala, launching April 11, will stick with the original three-month setup before the transition begins in Season 3.
This faster schedule should help Marvel Rivals expand its roster quickly, keep the gameplay feeling new, and encourage more consistent engagement. If the team can maintain the quality and the speed, fans could be in for a strong year!
