Season 8 of Marvel Rivals was just announced, and with it comes a handful of changes to every class, along with the reveal of Devil Dinosaur, Cyclops, & Moon Girl. With the new season dropping on May 15th, here are all of the balance changes coming with Marvel Rivals Season 8.
Marvel Rivals Season 8 Balance Changes
This time, there aren’t any super meta-defining changes, but there are some notable mixups coming to Mantis, Mister Fantastic & more.
Duelist
For DPS, there are a lot of smaller adjustments. Iron Fist is getting some minor changes, Star-Lord is getting more max ammo for his weapons, & Spider-Man’s Ult is getting a pretty significant buff.

But the bigger changes are coming to Mister Fantastic and Phoenix. Reed’s Ult’s cost is going down, along with removing the slow from his grab, but increasing its cooldown slightly. Phoenix is getting her direct hit damage buffed, but lowering her explosion damage.
Strategist
For supports, Loki is getting some nerfs, White Fox’s ult is getting buffs, and Mantis is losing some of her damage buffing powers for movespeed.

The biggest change here is definitely Mentis. Now with Ultron providing a constant damage boost effect, Mantis is getting nerfs, but now her buff also grants movement speed to her teammates on top of the DPS buff.
Vanguard

For tanks, there’s barely anything super noteworthy this time around. Tank Deadpool is getting another damage nerf, and Emma Frost & The Thing are getting a little more durable.
Team-Up Changes
Lastly, for Team-Ups, Chilling Assault is getting a radius buff, and when Season 8 starts, Punisher is getting a new team-up with Devil Dinosaur. This new team-up, however, appears to be an overall improvement to the Groot, Rocket, and Jeff Team-up, so maybe this will, in turn, buff that Team-Up as well.
Did you expect more massive changes this time around, or are these smaller adjustments to your liking?
