Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ Dungeon Difficulty Tier List

Season 2 is live, and the first question for most people pushing keys is which of the eight dungeons is worth their time and which one will lead to deplete-city. This tier list ranks all eight Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ dungeons by difficulty, from hardest to easiest, based on early keys in the +13 to +14 range completed during this week.

Altar of Fangs is the clear outlier of the Season, with the rest of the pool clustered tightly in the middle, and a few dungeons being almost free, if not a little boring.

All Eight Dungeons Ranked

This reflects the difficulty in the opening week of the season. Some of these placements, like Kings’ Rest, are difficulty-driven by unfamiliarity rather than tuning. These positions will likely soften as routes and mechanics get solved.

Altar of Fangs – Hardest

  • Every boss in the dungeon is a hard healing check. The whole dungeon is stressful on healers.
  • Rav’i is a “knowledge check”, causing very fast wipes if you don’t know what you’re doing
  • Zul’jan is incredibly difficult.
  • Trash before the first boss can be very annoying with the pulsating totems applying healing absorbs.

Kings’ Rest – Hard

  • Hard bosses and trash, the scaling can be very unforgiving at higher key levels.
  • Dungeon will likely be easier as the season progresses and people learn the trash gimmicks.
  • King Dazar is likely one of the hardest bosses to tank in recent M+ seasons, pairing frequent movement with constant hits.

The Blinding Vale – Moderate Hard

  • Thrashers are the biggest threats in the dungeon due to their stacked bleeds and poisons.
  • The first boss requires the whole group to participate in soaks, or it quickly goes south.
  • Other parts of the dungeon are easy.

Temple of Sethraliss – Hard at Start, Trivial End

  • All the difficulty of the dungeon is front-loaded.
  • After you defeat the second boss, the dungeon is free.
  • For instance, Avatar of Sethraliss dies in ~2m even at +13/+14

Voidscar Arena – Moderate, Route Dependent

  • Dungeon is a “route-check”.
  • At the start, the right hallway is easy, while the left will lead you to wipes.
  • After the first boss, it inverts: the right-side route is hard, and the left one is easy.
  • One hard part at the end is managing Devour from Devouring Brutalizers. Groups that can’t focus its target down quick enough will struggle and likely wipe.

Murder Row – Easy but too much RP

  • It is honestly a very boring key, very streamlined, not a lot of variation.
  • Way too much RP.
  • The only hard part is the giant golems after the third boss, with their insane AoE damage.

Den of Nalorakk – Pretty Easy

  • Most of the trash in the dungeon is simple and straightforward, without a lot of challenges.
  • Only exceptions are the birds before the first boss that leave bleeds.

Ruby Life Pools – Easiest so far

  • Shortest and easiest dungeon of the season.
  • Only speed bump in the dungeon is the mini-boss before the first boss.
