Capcom dropped a surprise during yesterday’s State of Play! They announced that the next major update for Monster Hunter Wilds is almost here!
Free Title Update 4 (TU4) will launch on December 16, and it is bringing back a legendary Elder Dragon! On top of that, you can also expect plenty of new content for Endgame, and more!
Gogmazios Returns
Gogmazios is a massive Elder Dragon first introduced in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and he is making its come back.
Known for its devastating attacks, this monster promises one of the toughest battles in Wilds yet. You will want to prepare your builds, since this hunt is going to be more dangerous than the previous ones!
What Is Inside TU4
Capcom confirmed that Title Update 4 will include:
- Gogmazios as a new huntable Elder Dragon
- HR 100+
- Fire weapon mechanic
- Dragon element weakness
- Expanded endgame content
- New weapon related endgame features: Materials obtained from Gogmazios can be used with Artian Weapons of Rarity 8 to create new, stronger Artian Weapons that have one Set Bonus Skill and one Group Skill, chosen at random
- Reinforcement bonuses for them are even stronger than those for the standard Artian weapon
- Event quests for Artian materials and Ancient Weapon fragments
- King of a Faraway Sky
- Masterless Claws
- Transcending – New way to upgrade your armor further after reaching HR 100. Transcending raises the limits imposed on Armor Sphere upgrades and also enhances the decoration slots on armor of rarity 5 and 6
- 9 Star Rathalos will appear in certain locales
- New weapon related endgame features: Materials obtained from Gogmazios can be used with Artian Weapons of Rarity 8 to create new, stronger Artian Weapons that have one Set Bonus Skill and one Group Skill, chosen at random
- Weapon buffs and balance updates
- A new seasonal event
- Performance improvements and optimizations
- Additional gameplay adjustments and quality-of-life changes

As mentioned, Monster Hunter Wilds TU4 releases on December 16, 2025 as a free update for all players.
