Blizzard has sent out a new survey, asking about some major changes to Mythic+ dungeons. Among the notable ideas is the potential removal of the traditional timer and the introduction of a hard death limit, similar to the system seen in delves.
The timer has long been a core part of Mythic+, forcing players to strike a balance between speed and strategy. Removing it completely could change the way Mythic+ dungeons are played, especially for tanks and healers.
Without the time pressure, groups might lead heavily into defensive playstyles. They might take things so carefully that even high-level keys like +30 could be cleared, but at the cost of hours of gameplay. While this might sound appealing to some, it could also put a lot more pressure on support roles and potentially lead to more toxicity in groups.
The survey also mentions another key feature: adding tags to LFG listings. This would let players label their groups with descriptions. Some examples could be “completion,” “learning group,” or “meta-only,” making it easier to find like-minded players.
What do you think about the idea?
