Dune: Awakening Ornithopter

New Dune: Awakening Patch Makes PvE Hunts Riskier, But PvP Safer

The Deep Desert is finally getting a little less predictable in Dune: Awakening’s latest patch 1.1.15.0. If you love farming rare materials or risking it all in PvP, this update will make your next trip out there feel a bit more rewarding… and maybe a little less camped.

The Most Important Deep Desert Changes:

  • Tier 6 resources now spawn in more areas across the PvE Deep Desert, which makes them much easier to find.
  • Unique loot containers have randomized respawn timers now, so you can no longer camp them on a fixed schedule.
  • Plastanium crafting components are split across different zones:
    • Imperial Testing Stations
    • Caves
    • Shipwrecks
    • Shipwrecks and Buried Treasure can give you mixed drops from any location.
  • PvE loot in the Deep Desert now has a chance to drop a different selection of Unique items, adding some surprise to our farming runs.
  • Spice field spawn rates increased:
    • Medium fields: 5 → 8
    • Small fields: 22 → 30

PvP Security Zones Get a Needed Fix

Leaving a PvP security zone now takes 30 seconds instead of 5, which is giving players more time to defend their space and cutting down on quick escape camping. This should make PvP a little fairer, especially for those holding valuable spice or loot.

Landsraad Changes: Personal Effort Matters More

If you are farming contribution in the Landsraad, there is a small but important update:

  • After a task is completed, only your personal contribution counts toward your rewards.
  • Faction results (wins, guild votes, etc.) are locked once the task is over, so no more last-minute snipes.

There are also some bug fixes and quality-of-life updates, but the biggest focus of this patch is on improving the endgame experience in the Deep Desert.
