Sony has officially announced the next State of Play broadcast, and it sounds like a pretty big one this time. Not only will it go live on YouTube and Twitch, but for those living near the Alamo Drafthouse in the US, you can even attend live there!
State of Play Returns on June 2
The show will go live on Tuesday, June 2 at 2:00pm PT / 5:00pm ET / 11:00pm CEST, June 3 at 6:00am JST, on the official YouTube and Twitch channels. You can already expect the following content:
- More than 60 minutes of announcements
- New gameplay reveals
- Updates from studios around the world
- Upcoming games for PlayStation 5

If you want to co-stream, keep in mind that the livestream may include copyrighted music that could affect VOD uploads and archived streams, so be careful.
Marvel’s Wolverine Will Open the Show
Sony also confirmed that the event will begin with a new look at Marvel’s Wolverine from Insomniac Games. According to the post, the presentation will include:
- New gameplay
- A closer look at Logan’s combat
- Additional details about the game
Sony once again confirmed that Marvel’s Wolverine launches on September 15 exclusively for PS5.
Can You Expect Any Surprise Reveals?
As always with State of Play, you can expect more than one game to be showcased. Marvel’s Wolverine is the only confirmed game so far, but many players are expecting a lot more from Sony! The main guesses are maybe release dates or more information for Intergalactic or God of War, specifically.
Since the showcase happens just a few days before Summer Game Fest 2026, there is also a good chance Sony wants to kick off the summer season early with a few big reveals. Everything is possible at this point!
