With Patch 12.1, Player Housing dyes have been reworked—and thank goodness they have!
If you logged in on patch day to find Hesta Forlath spamming your mail, you weren’t on your own! In her messages, she explains that the dye system has been simplified. While the colour range stays the same, you will not need 72 different dyes in your inventory anymore, but only 9.
Instead of having separate items for “Alliance (ick) Blue Dye” and “Midnight Blue Dye”, players will now only need a new
Blue Housing Dye, which can be used to apply any of the blue shades to your decor items.

Dye pigments have also been removed, with dyes now being crafted directly from any of the previously used herbs. And to streamline the process even further, players with the Alchemy and Inscription professions can craft directly at the dye station in Neighbourhoods!

The change is a good one for convenience, but add in the 63 saved bag slots, and it seems pretty great!
