Genshin Impact Lauma and Nefer

Should You Pull Lauma or Nefer in Genshin Impact’s Next Banner?

The next set of banners is almost here in Genshin Impact, and Phase 2 is bringing back two 5-star Dendro characters everyone loves, clearly designed to work together.

From April 28 to May 19, you will be able to pull for Lauma and Nefer, alongside boosted 4-stars:

Lauma and Nefer Overview

Both characters revolve around Dendro and the Lunar Bloom reaction that was introduced with Nod-Krai, but they fill very different roles.

Lauma is more of a flexible support. She brings good off-field Dendro application, RES shred for both Hydro and Dendro, and buffs that enhance Bloom-related reactions, including the ability to let them crit, and that is a pretty big deal.

On the other side, Nefer is a main DPS focused much more on her own damage rather than traditional reaction-based Dendro teams. She enables Lunar Bloom and scales heavily with Elemental Mastery, but her playstyle is more restrictive compared to standard Dendro teams.

They Are Built to Be Played Together

This is really the important part you should not overlook in these banners.

Nefer works best with Lauma, and not just as a nice bonus, but as a big part of her overall damage potential. Lauma boosts Lunar Bloom damage, provides resistance shred, and unlocks additional synergy through their shared Nod-Krai mechanics.

Without Lauma, Nefer can still function, but you are missing a significant part of what makes her strong.

Lauma, on the other hand, is much more flexible. She fits into more Dendro teams and can support other DPS characters without needing Nefer specifically.

Are They Worth Pulling?

It mostly comes down to what you are looking for:

  • Pull Nefer if you want a new main DPS and are ready to build around her
  • Pull Lauma if you want a strong Dendro support that works in multiple teams
  • Pull both if you want to really invest in Nefer and max out her potential

One thing to keep in mind as well is that Nefer’s teams are more restrictive than usual. She does not really work with Hyperbloom, and she relies heavily on Elemental Mastery rather than traditional buffs, and that also limits her support options a bit.

One thing is sure, this banner is clearly designed to be a full package!
