As players continue to explore the WoW Forever beta, many are finding new weapons, updated set bonuses, and brand-new Profession materials! With the latest update, Blizzard allowed players to enter the new City of Dalaran dungeon, and within it, players began to find pieces of the new Violet Sorcerer’s Vestments set.
Thematically, this set appears to be made for Mages, however, any caster can benefit greatly from this new gear. In addition to the individual pieces being higher on stats such as Intellect and Increased Spell Damage, the set also comes with some great bonuses:
- (2) Set: +5 Arcane Resistance.
- (3) Set: +10 Spirit.
- (4) Set: Chance on damaging spell to allow 15% of your Mana regeneration to continue while casting for 15 sec. Mana regen amount is doubled in Strongholds and Cities.
- (5) Set: Chance on damaging spell to summon an Arcane elemental to aid you in combat.
All of these set bonuses are amazing, but the 5-piece bonus is particularly interesting, giving players a chance to summon an Arcane Elemental whenever the player lands a damaging spell. While not stated on the tooltip, it appears that this summoned elemental will fight alongside the player for about 20 seconds. This set bonus appears especially strong for spellcasters who do not typically have summoned pets, such as Mages or Shadow Priests.
