The Inaccessible Maw AKA Players Stuck in Oribos Still an Issue After Patch

Players were expecting the Shadowlands campaign issues to be resolved with today’s patch 11.0.7 launch after customer support stated as much on the official forums. However, that did not happen and it seems Oribos is still all your alts will see without a workaround. In case you weren’t aware, basically if you hadn’t already started the Shadowlands before a certain point, you won’t be able to get past the “go to the Maw” part of the start of the campaign, constantly being returned to Oribos.

The Workaround

Unfortunately, this temporary fix won’t help those who want to do the actual Shadowlands campaign. However, if you’re just looking to farm the raids or rares and similar, it should do the trick. Unfortunately again, you also won’t be able to access Zereth Mortis without a Warlock summon or similar. That zone is only unlocked via the campaign.

  1. Go to the Timeway portal in Dornogal and travel to Ardenweald.
  1. Use the The Warband Map to Everywhere All At Once iconThe Warband Map to Everywhere All At Once found in your spellbook.
  2. Activate the Scouting Map: Into the Shadowlands iconScouting Map: Into the Shadowlands toy to unlock all Shadowlands flight paths.

Once these steps are complete, you’ll have all the flight paths unlocked, allowing you to farm zones and raid content. However, keep in mind that this is a temporary fix. Many quests are still unavailable, but this is currently the best way to expand your Shadowlands transmog collection without waiting for the 11.0.7 patch, which is expected to fix the quest chain.
