With the beginning of Midnight Season 1 comes a new Prey difficulty—Nightmare. Nightmare difficulty offers an extreme challenge, with increased damage taken and affixes to put you to the test. And if that wasn’t difficult enough, you have to do this solo—no groups allowed!
But here’s one little trick to make Nightmare Prey a little easier.
Astalor’s Kill Command
Nightmare Prey introduces 
Bloody Command, where Astalor will demand that you kill for him in the next 20 seconds, or face a nasty DoT. Luckily, Astalor isn’t picky when it comes to the target. You can get around this problem quickly by killing the closest critter!
Whilst this clever workaround is useful, awareness is important! Keeping an eye out for critters, and saving burst damage for risky encounters can make a huge difference in your survival. The difficulty is designed to push players to their limits, but small optimisations like this can turn an impossible run into a manageable challenge.
