With the weekly reset, Blizzard has removed caps on Season 1 gear upgrading crests, allowing players to farm as many as they like without limits. Although it’s a bit too late into Season 1, the following crests no longer have a cap on live servers:

Carved Harbinger Crests
Runed Harbinger Crests
Gilded Harbinger Crests
