The first build for the WoW Forever beta is officially here! As we prepare for beta testing to start after the Q&A ends on September 17, we’re taking a look at the first batch of new mounts that are coming to Classic+.
Mounts From Expansions Beyond Classic
Some mounts that fit with the themes of Classic, but were released later on in Retail WoW, are showing up in WoW Forever:
- Venomhide Ravasaur, the counterpart to the Alliance’s Winterspring Frostsaber, was originally added in Cataclysm.
- Striped Dawnsaber is a recolor of the Night Elf racial mount that was originally added in Wrath of the Lich King.
- Ochre Skeletal Warhorse is a recolor of the Undead racial mount that was originally added in Wrath of the Lich King.
- White Kodo is a recolor of the Tauren racial mount that was originally added in Wrath of the Lich King.
- Black Skeletal Horse is a recolor of the Undead racial mount that was originally added in Wrath of the Lich King.
Existing Mount Models That Were Never Added to WoW
Some mounts in the list are mounts that have existed in the in-game files for a long time, but were never formally added to WoW – be it Classic or Retail.
- Golden Sabercat
- Dark Skeletal Horse
- Lavender Kodo
Skyborne Racial Mounts
The racial mounts for the new Skyborne race are the Galestriders. As is usual for racial mounts, the unarmored versions are the 60% speed ones unlocked at Level 40, and the armored ones are the 100% speed mounts unlocked at Level 60.
New Mounts in Forever
These are mounts with entirely new iterations of models coming to Forever.
- Forsaken Charger is the racial mount for Undead Paladins.
- Pack Kodo is a new kodo mount.
- Cerulean Prideclaw is a reward obtained from purchasing a Forever Pre-Order edition.
- Spectral Bear is one of the new rewards from the Legacy system.
