Modern or Classic Visuals
One of the biggest visual customisation options is the SD/HD toggle. This lets players choose between the original Classic visuals and animations, and the updated HD presentation. Whether you want the Classic feel, or something a little cleaner and more modern, you will be able to choose between the two.
To Transmog, or Not to Transmog
Transmog is a controversial one. For Retail players trying out Forever, the option to style up your character may feel like a must. But for Classic players, seeing your enemy’s gear allows you to visually weigh them up before a fight, and that is essential.
That’s why WoW Forever gives you the choice. Transmog will be an opt-in system. You can decide whether you want that extra layer of visual information that clown suits convey, or whether you prefer the freedom to dress your character however you like.
WoW Forever seems to be aiming for a balance between nostalgia and modern quality of life features. But rather than forcing every player into the same experience, Blizzard is giving us a few options and letting us decide how we want our game to look.
And honestly? More choices are rarely ever a bad thing!
