Reliable leaker billbil_kun has revealed that the Xbox ROG Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X handheld consoles will most likely release on October 16, 2025 in Europe. The leak was shared on Reddit, and comments are going wild with speculations about Hollow Knight: Silksong finally releasing before or on the same day!
You can take a look at the leak here:
What to Expect
According to the reports on Dealabs, here is what you can expect from the Xbox ROG Ally:
- Preorders will open on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, during Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Germany.
- Prices:
- €599 for the standard Xbox Ally
- €899 for the Ally X
- Launch date: October 16, 2025 (currently confirmed for Europe only. It is unknown if the console will release at the exact same time for the rest of the world).
- Availability: Major retailers will have the console available. You do not have to go through the Microsoft Store.
- Official announcement are expected during Xbox’s special Gamescom live show on August 20 at 3 PM CEST, alongside exclusive demos.
The October date originally surfaced via leaker eXtas1s and was later backed by a Spanish ASUS distributor listing, but today’s report may be the most credible confirmation yet! Of course, it is still only leaked information, so this could change at any time before the official announcements!
The Silksong Connection?

A top comment on the leak’s Reddit thread joked that “Hollow Knight Silksong will release before/on October 16.” The idea is actually not that far-fetched. Team Cherry’s long-awaited sequel is confirmed to be coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one, meaning it could make sense to launch alongside Xbox’s big new handheld console. On top of that, it is a game that is really nice on handheld consoles!
For now, it is all speculation, but if the leak holds true, the official date will be confirmed at Gamescom in just over a week.
So keep an eye on our latest news, as we will make sure to update you as soon as the information releases!
