Diablo 4 Season 12 Nightmare Dungeon

This Simple Change Could Fix Two Diablo 4 Problems at Once

Season 12 of Diablo 4 introduced new systems like Slaughterhouses, but for many players, the excitement did not last very long. Even if they are very fun at first, running around as the Butcher and slaughtering entire towns has its limits when it comes down to fun without valuable rewards.

Between underwhelming rewards and ongoing complaints about ObduciteObducite drop rates, some are now pointing out what feels like a missed opportunity.

Slaughterhouses Quickly Lose Their Value

At first, Slaughterhouses really offered some unique fun. You turn into the Butcher, land in a random town from Sanctuary, and get to be the bad guy with a massive cleaver for a few minutes. But once you hit Torment and endgame, the rewards start to fall off hard. Slaughterhouses are a very good way to level up, but after that, you basically have better things to do.

Players report stacking up plenty of keys for it, but with few reasons to run them. The gear is often disappointing, and outside of some experience, there is not much to gain.

That is where the activity starts to become frustrating, especially in a season where another important resource feels harder to come by.

Make Obducite Drop From Slaughterhouses

According to most players, there would be a simple solution to this problem. If they add ObduciteObducite as a reward for Slaughterhouse runs, it gives you a good enough reason to run those. The activity is really fun, but the only problem is that you do not get anything valuable from doing it. So adding an item that everyone needs anyway would make it much better.

Not in massive amounts, but enough to make the activity worth doing, and to make up for the fact that ObduciteObducite right now barely drops. Players are suggesting something like small payouts that scale with performance, for example, the higher your killstreak inside the Slaughterhouse, the higher the ObduciteObducite reward.

The idea is not to replace existing sources, but to add an alternative way to farm a material that players constantly need. It also highlights a bigger issue with seasonal design in Diablo 4, where many activities feel isolated, instead of being properly linked to the existing content. Giving Slaughterhouses access to useful materials like ObduciteObducite could solve two problems at once.

Some players believe upcoming systems like the War Plans feature in Lord of Hatred could fix these kinds of issues by better connecting activities and rewards, but for now, the situation feels a bit disconnected, and players are already thinking of ways it could have been handled differently.
