Long Dungeon Respawns / Corpse Runs Are Being Looked Into

A long-standing issues with many players has been the incredibly long run-back distance when you die in dungeons. Today Associate Game Director Joe Piepiora addressed this issue.

He suggested that this is only happening in some dungeons, and that the team is aware of the reports and are looking into it.

Presumably this means that it isn’t intended and that the regular respawn behavior in other dungeons (aka not having to run a marathon to get back to the action) is what should be happening.

We don’t have a timeframe or even a “we’ll fix it” on this yet. But it’s great to hear Blizzard are aware of the issue. Hopefully this means it will get fixed soon. The patch 1.1.1 notes are coming on Wednesday so we’ll know more then.
