Blizzard just announced that the Gift of the Tree event is making its way back to Diablo 4 today! This is not the first time the event has appeared, but it is still one of the best ones!
During the event, every time you hand in your Grim Favors at the Tree of Whispers, you will get an extra Whisper Cache.
It is a pretty straightforward bonus event, but if you already spend time farming Whispers, the extra rewards are pretty worth it. More caches means more chances to get better gear, crafting materials, gold, and XP without really changing your normal grind. In Torment, the Gift of the Tree also grants extra Cube materials, Gems, and even charms, so you can really farm for everything with this.
The event probably feels best on newer or less-geared characters, since the additional caches can speed progression up quite a bit early on. Endgame players may not get anything huge out of it, but it is still an easy way to stack extra materials at the same time as doing your regular activities.
Gift of the Tree is already live, so if you were planning to farm Whispers anyway, you may as well take advantage of the extra loot while it lasts.
